I like to teach without a rigid lesson structure in place; you can bring me any material from class or elsewhere and we can go through it together. This means each lesson is tailored most to your questions and needs at the time, while staying relevant to your classroom teaching. For younger students, my approach will be rooted more closely in additional support with schoolwork. For older students, I can use my university-level knowledge of literature to introduce new material alongside schoolwork. This will help to set you apart from other students simply learning in the classroom, while providing you with a great source of wider reading that will be particularly useful for university applications. As an Oxford graduate myself, I am extremely familiar with the application process and can offer you personal insight into developing a strong personal statement and performing well at interview.
