I am a creative, CELTA-certified and Oxford-educated ESL tutor with experience working with children, young people, and adults.

My lessons mix communication with interesting, creative tasks and effective grammar and functional language instruction. Students and colleagues speak highly about my empathy, patience, and creativity.

I love to use real examples of English from native speakers, and select texts or audio that suit your interests. For example, one of my students loved Lionel Messi and football, so we worked with Messi's interviews to practise listening and learn grammar!

My classes are always both varied and practical, teaching you to use your new language in real contexts. I believe in creating an atmosphere where students, no matter their ability, are happy to speak and ready to get creative!

As someone with a degree in French and German from Oxford, I understand the dedication that goes into developing your language to an advanced level. I also understand that you may have a specific, intensive exam to train for, such as IELTs or Cambridge English, which I am happy to help you prepare for.

I have experience online and in-person with abilities from complete beginners to C1. I am particularly suited to General English learners and students/applicants looking for English for Academic Purposes (EAP), as I have significant experience with academic writing and presentation.
