In a session, we’ll start off with a check-in, maybe based on the lessons you’ve had this week, maybe your thoughts on any ongoing projects you have, and absolutely any fun facts or general points you’ve spotted this week will be more than welcome!

In the main session we’ll look back on what you learned in the week, as well as what you think your most challenging areas of the whole topic are - whether that’s a grammar point, a writing technique, or understanding the actual content. We might then read through anything you’ve been set for homework, or a section of a source you’re going to look at in class, and maybe run a few exercises on that. These will be short, straightforward, and catered to where you are in the year - unfortunately the closer you are to exams the more likely it is you’ll be doing practice questions to help your writing style - but I will do my absolute best to stop them being boring!!

If I’m teaching you Spanish, I’ll also give you the chance to have a practice vocab test with whatever you’ve been set - if you want one!!

I really want the sessions to be the least stressful environments they can be, I love these topics and by just having a chat about them for an hour or so and doing some exercises, I hope we can boost your confidence and enjoyment of the topic (and your grades as well of course, but I think it’s more important you feel confident than you get a perfect grade!)

And I’d also love for you to be curious with this!! Learning a language, or furthering your understanding of one, is such a cool thing to do, I want us to think about the lived experiences of people who use these languages, and further understand how we can read, write, listen to and speak them - no-one likes just repeating vocab like a robot, so our sessions will never be that!!
