I have recently completed my A levels. This has helped me to understand how the specification works and what a student needs to do to achieve top grades. I too once struggled and I managed to lift my grade up to an A from a D in one year. I will work with the student to identify areas of weakness and work with them to improve their understanding. One thing I have learnt during my A level years is that only knowing the content without exam technique and application skills gets you nowhere. I will incorporate exam questions into the lessons in order to get them accustomed to the format of the exam and to help them understand how the questions need to answered to earn top marks. I will create a plan with the student and involve them in what topics we go over to help them to boost their grades and work on what they feel like they need. I will also keep track of topics they seem to struggle with. I have a strong passion for biology and I will use this to help the student and hopefully spark their interest in the topic. In the past I have worked with students of different abilities and so will be able to help your child no matter their level of understanding for the subject. I am keen to start as soon as possible. At university I will be studying a biology related course which will deepen my understanding further making me perfect for the role.
