Here is an example of a lesson plan I have done with a student for an A level class:

Objective: To understand the theme of love in Shakespeare's sonnets and analyze how it is portrayed through literary devices.

Materials Needed: Copies of Shakespeare's Sonnets, paper, pen, highlighter

Introduction (5 minutes):

Ask the student about their understanding of the theme of love in literature.
Explain that in today's lesson, we will focus on Shakespeare's Sonnets and analyze the theme of love through literary devices.
Activity 1: Reading and Annotation (15 minutes):

Provide the student with a copy of Shakespeare's Sonnets.
Ask them to read sonnets and 116 and annotate them for literary devices that convey the theme of love.
Encourage them to use a highlighter to mark any metaphors, similes, imagery, or other literary devices that they notice.
Activity 2: Analyzing and Discussing (30 minutes):

Review the student's annotations and discuss the literary devices they found.
Guide the student in analyzing how the devices contribute to the theme of love in each sonnet.
Encourage them to use specific examples from the text to support their analysis.
Activity 3: Writing Exercise (20 minutes):

Ask the student to choose one sonnet and write a short analysis of how the literary devices used in the poem convey the theme of love.
