My lessons are interactive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I usually begin by identifying specific goals — whether that’s improving essay writing, strengthening reading comprehension, or preparing for exams — and then design lessons around those targets. I combine clear explanations with guided practice, using examples and step-by-step support to make challenging material more approachable.
My teaching ranges from primary school suited lessons to GCSE, A-Level and International Baccalaureate levels. I also have experience with helping students with their university applications.
In English Literature and Language lessons, I focus on building analytical skills, essay structure, and critical thinking, while also encouraging creativity and confidence in written and spoken expression. For younger or ESL learners, I create engaging activities to support vocabulary development, grammar, and reading fluency.
I draw on my experience as a private tutor and Teaching Assistant at CentreStage Studios HK, where I supported students in exam preparation and communication skills. With my academic background in English at Durham University and King’s College London, I bring both subject expertise and teaching experience to every lesson.
Above all, my lessons are student-centred: I adapt the format to suit individual learning styles, provide regular feedback, and aim to make learning both rewarding and enjoyable.
