Lily Campling

I am a second year BSc Psychology undergraduate at the University of Sheffield, currently working at a first-class degree level. I am keen to use my knowledge to support and teach students to develop their understanding and skills to achieve their potential. Having achieved an A* at A-Level Psychology, I am familiar with the content and curriculum specifications, allowing me to provide structured lessons to deepen understanding and to build exam confidence.

In the past, I have led support sessions with other students, helping small groups of pupils with psychological concepts and the application of these. I have also presented lessons to the class, giving me the opportunity to engage and motivate students in activities involved as well as allow me to cater to individual needs and adapt my teaching style accordingly.

I like to make my teaching styles interactive whilst covering and providing key notes and information needed from the exam specification. Once this has been mastered, this will be put into context of the psychology exam. Potential exam questions can be given out to familiarise the student with the types of questions whilst giving them the opportunity to practice answering them. These can then be marked, giving the pupil an idea of what to build upon and the level they are at.
