About Myself:

I am a 6th year Scottish high school student, currently studying Advanced Higher Maths and Physics
For a long while I’d always been undecided on what job I wanted, what to do after school and where to go. I’d listen to friends who had seemingly planned out their whole lives, while I was still unsure of what subjects I’d study in the next few months. This, however, all changed when I began my Mathematics and Physics courses. These two subjects captivated me in a unique way, and I found myself not just learning in these subjects but loving every moment.
My enthusiasm for these subjects could later be seen mirrored in my academics, as in 2022 I proudly attained the highest scores for Maths and Physics in my year. This achievement was later reaffirmed in 2023 for Higher Physics where I again achieved the prize for best academic performance. These accomplishments show not only my dedication to these subjects, but my eagerness and ability to learn within these areas.

I now aim to spread my enthusiasm and share what I have learnt.


How I Plan to Teach:

I'm happy if you're happy - while offering my own techniques and what works best for me, I understand that everyone is different, and will do what you consider best for yourself! I prefer written examples, working slowly through questions to ensure a thorough understanding of each step - allowing the students to know the inner workings of the question in front of them - but am flexible and willing to alter my methods to tailor to my student's preferences.
