I am a passionate Spanish tutor, and a recent university graduate in Spanish. I have experience tutoring A-level students, and teaching English to university students in Colombia. My lessons are fun, tailored to my students’ needs, and ensure development of strong language skills and confidence.

When teaching you Spanish, I will engage you by discussing social, political, popular, historical and cultural topics relevant to different Hispanic countries (always based on your interests!). This will develop your cultural understanding about the Hispanic world, and allow you to form and express opinions in Spanish. Alongside this, I place a strong focus on grammar and vocabulary to improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

Having lived in Colombia, I can teach you both Colombian Spanish and Peninsular Spanish, depending on the variety you prefer.

I always start my lessons with casual conversation in Spanish to get your brain to transition into thinking in Spanish again, and so that you feel comfortable. Depending on your specific targets, needs and learning style, I will produce different activities and exercises for you to develop your language skills. This could include grammar games, or a discussion of the themes in a Netflix film in Spanish that I encourage you to watch for homework.

I am happy to tutor all levels, from beginners to advanced speakers looking for conversation practice. Having supported students through A-levels, and studied Spanish to university level, I know exactly what content examiners are looking for, and how you can master exam technique to get the top marks if you are studying Spanish for GCSEs or A-levels.
