Lessons will take place online, likely through Microsoft Teams which will allow me to share my screen with you, but I am able to accommodate other platforms if need be. The content of the lessons would vary depending on your level and needs:

Complete beginner - the first few lessons would focus on the basics of the grammar, paying particular attention to verb tenses and forms to help you start learning how to say complete sentences quickly. Once you have a good understanding of all the basic tenses and how to form them, you will move to the 'beginner' plan.

Beginner - once grasping verbs, we will move on to creating more complex sentences, mixing multiple tenses in the same sentence while still making grammatical sense. We will focus on key vocabulary on topics important to you - if you are taking GCSE Spanish, these will be based on the exam topics set by your exam board. Lessons will also now end in a five minute Spanish speaking practice, developing your Spanish speaking skills.

Intermediate - once you have an understanding of all the different verb tenses and forms in Spanish (including their irregular forms), we will move on to more complex topics such as the subjunctive, while pinpointing any weak points in your grammar. If there is a particular concept you are struggling with, we will have a lesson dedicated to that topic. Vocabulary will become less basic and more nuanced, teaching you words that are integral to the Spanish A Level curriculum. Lessons will end in a 10 minute Spanish speaking practice, to allow further competence and confidence.

Regardless of your level, every week I will give you access to a vocabulary list on Quizlet which will consist of words targeted to your needs and which will be useful for your next lesson. This will also be a good revision material so that you do not forget words that you have learnt, and have a good record of the topics you have covered. If you are doing your GCSEs or A Levels, I can also do more targeted sessions based on what will come up in your exam, including translation and (for A Level) how to write about your set text and/or film in Spanish. If you are learning Spanish as you are planning on moving there, I can change the weighting of the lessons to allow for more speaking time.

Please note: the price is advertised as £15 for an hour lesson as it accounts for the prep and resources that I include with the lessons. If you have a low household income and cannot afford this, please get in contact anyway so I can see what I can arrange - I believe economic circumstances shouldn't prevent people from having a good education. I also do discounts for group tutoring, so if you wanted to learn as a whole family, a couple or with a group of friends it would be cheaper per person (1 person: £15 pp; 2 people: £10 pp; 3 people: £8 pp; 4 people: £6 pp).
