I'm happy to tailor my teaching style to what works best for you, but generally I'll check your understanding at the start of the lesson through a quick conversation, will present a few powerpoint slides to explain the concepts, and finally check your understanding again by asking you a few questions to ensure the lesson was successful, and, if needed, to smooth over any parts that weren't clear. As a PhD researcher myself, I have plenty of experience in teaching even complex biology to university level students - I'll make sure to explain science in a way that's engaging and fun to learn about. There's no such thing as a stupid question and I'd much rather a student tells me directly if there's something they're struggling with. That way, we can work through it as a team to get you where you need to be! I'm patient and approachable, so don't worry if you need me to go over things multiple times until it clicks.
