I usually explain the concept first and then show, through examples, how to solve the problem step by step. I believe that understanding the reasoning behind a method is just as important as getting the correct answer. If needed, we can go over the concept multiple times until the child feels confident. Every student learns differently, so I always adapt my teaching style to suit their individual needs and make sure I find the approach that helps them understand best. Whether that means using more visual explanations, practical examples, diagrams, or breaking the topic down into smaller, more manageable steps, I am happy to adjust my lessons accordingly.
I also encourage students to ask questions at any point during the lesson, as I want them to feel comfortable expressing when they are unsure about something. I believe that creating a supportive and patient learning environment helps build both confidence and motivation. Rather than simply giving answers, I guide students through the thought process so they can develop problem-solving skills and become more independent over time.
I regularly check their understanding by asking them to explain concepts back to me or complete similar questions on their own. This helps identify any areas that may need further practice. I also try to relate concepts to real-life situations where possible, making learning more engaging and memorable. My aim is for every student to leave each lesson with a stronger understanding of the topic and greater confidence in their own abilities. I hope this helps .
