I like to get to know the student, to learn about what they want to do in the future and what they like to do, then I can base the lessons off of that. I find it easier to learn with the things that you already like. For example, one of my students likes football so i based the work upon that and she managed to understand things easier because she knows what she is talking about with that. I do not like to rush or just do textbook work as I don’t think it is effective in the learning process, we will take it slow if wanted and get to know everything in-depth.
