Laura Valentina Herrera

I’m a young Colombian who’s recently moved to the UK. I’ve been helping people for years through online apps like tandem, where I’ve offered free help while getting experience with teaching. I’m a relaxed tutor, who understands that it can be difficult to learn and remember a new language. With different people, I’ve learnt to adapt my teaching style to suit whichever format they find the most successful. I’ve worked across various apps and social media to be available for video calls and chats whenever necessary. I also like to offer support for my students and be able to be available if they have any questions outside of the study times. I’m also fascinated by languages and strive to learn more and more languages throughout my life. I have a lot of friends who are multilingual, and it still amazes me how they’re able to talk so naturally between languages. It’s something that I want everybody to have a chance to learn.
