I am Laura Linklater, a Master’s-qualified (M.Ed) Specialist Teacher and certified Emotional Intelligence Coach with over 21 years of experience. My Approach: The "Whole Learner" Strategy
I believe that academic success is inextricably linked to emotional wellbeing. A student who is anxious or lacks self-belief cannot access their full potential, no matter how smart they are. Therefore, my lessons uniquely combine rigorous academic coaching with emotional support.
• For English Language (KS2, KS3, IGCSE/GCSE): We move beyond rote learning. I teach students how to deconstruct exam criteria, master analytical writing, and structure their responses for maximum marks. We use real-world texts and targeted practice to make skills stick.
• For Emotional Intelligence: I provide a safe, confidential space to develop self-regulation, empathy, and social skills. This is particularly effective for students with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD, or those struggling with school-related anxiety.

Lesson Format & Dynamics (Online Only)
All sessions are conducted via high-quality video link, utilizing a fully interactive digital whiteboard. This allows us to collaborate in real-time—annotating texts, mind-mapping ideas, and drafting work together as if we were side-by-side.

• Neurodiversity-Affirming: As a Level 7 Specialist Teacher, I adapt my communication and pacing to suit neurodiverse brains, ensuring clarity and reducing cognitive load.
