Laura Cooney

I am a fully qualified primary teacher with a masters degree in English Language. I have worked in a teaching role for 15 years and am a semi-professional writer with publications features in various places.

I am available to work in the evenings, weekends and can work from home, in your home or online. We can discuss location at the initial point of organising lessons and your learning needs.

I plan, prepare and deliver instructional and fun activities that facilitate active learning, where possible, taking into account various learning styles.
I establish and communicate clear lesson plans and programmes of work for activities. I allow and support children and adults to be flexible in their learning approach by differentiating activities. I provide encouragement, alternative methods and tools or ideas for how best to achieve goals.

I am organised, helpful and motivated to improve the quality and value of people’s lives. If you choose me as your tutor you'll find me dedicated, caring, resourceful, helpful and fully supportive of all needs no matter how big or small. I will ensure that you get what you need from the experience and achieve whatever it is that you have set out to achieve for yourself or your child.

I would initially want to discuss needs and think about a programme of learning that can be tailored or extended as needed.
I can work in person or online over zoom.
I can use google docs and email if necessary to edit and support work.
