My lessons are structured but flexible, depending on the student’s goals and current level. I usually start by identifying any gaps in understanding and then focus on building a solid foundation before moving on to exam-style questions or more advanced problem-solving. I place a strong emphasis on making sure students understand the “why” behind each method rather than just memorising steps.

I have experience tutoring mathematics both online and in-person, working with students from primary school through to undergraduate level, including GCSE and early university topics. This has helped me develop the ability to adapt my explanations to different ages, abilities, and learning styles. Some students need a slower, step-by-step approach, while others benefit more from challenging questions and exam practice, and I adjust accordingly.

In my sessions, I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as I believe this is essential for real progress. I also focus on building confidence, especially for students who may feel less confident in maths.

Depending on the student’s needs, lessons may include topic explanations, guided practice, exam preparation, or targeted problem-solving. I also provide feedback throughout to help track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Overall, my goal is to make maths clearer, more approachable, and less stressful while helping students achieve their academic goals.
