I give online lessons using Zoom communication tool.
Firstly I speak to my each of my students and listen to their goals, needs and wishes. With easy and informal assessment I will determine the language proficiency level, then I will create a series of lessons tailored to my student's needs and goals.
Each lesson will be 1 hour long and structured to cover 4 micro skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing. I use Text based approach and bring engaging articles, situational dialogues, interesting videos and popular music to each lesson to make studying fun. There will be "current affairs", newspaper articles and online research to create special learning environment as close to real life as possible.
Lessons could be individual or in group up to 8 students with the same language proficiency level.
I will present grammar and spelling rules and give tips, mnemonics, memory clues to ensure these are memorised. All supported by visual aids and power point presentation.
Each lesson will be visible on student's screen; materials used, worksheets emailed to student before each lesson, homework emailed after lesson. Homework feedback given individually to each student within 24 hours after submission.
There will be informal assessments and training for formal tests if required to ensure learning is progressing towards to stated goals.
If there are any professional or specific IELTS tests are ahead for students, I will include preparation for these tests and make sure each level of proficiency is covered.
