Hello, I’m a private tutor specialising in Spanish, English and Italian at GCSE and A Level, as well as English and Italian Literature. I offer lessons for students studying with any exam board, adapting the content and teaching style to their specific course, ability and academic goals.

As a recent high school graduate, I have a current understanding of the GCSE and A-Level exam system, including its challenges, expectations and pressures. I am also an international award-winning scholar in Spanish Language and Literature at A Level. Alongside my own studies, I have gained experience tutoring both my peers and younger students in my local community, helping them strengthen their knowledge, improve their academic skills and become more confident in their abilities.

I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I do not use one fixed teaching method. At the start, we will discuss your current level, any areas you find difficult and what you would like to achieve. I will then plan lessons around your needs and preferred way of learning.

Language lessons may cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation, translation, reading, writing and listening skills. Literature lessons can focus on close textual analysis, quotations, essay planning, critical interpretation and developing a clear academic writing style. When preparing for exams, we can also work through past papers, practise timed questions and improve exam technique.

My lessons can be interactive, using PowerPoint presentations, quizzes, discussions and practical exercises. Alternatively, they can follow a more traditional academic format, with structured tasks, essay practice and detailed feedback. In either case, each lesson will have a clear purpose and will be adapted as the student progresses.

My aim is to create a welcoming but focused learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes and challenging themselves. Whether you need extra support, help preparing for an important examination or guidance in working towards the highest grades, I will provide patient, personalised and encouraging tuition.
