Lantian Zhao Zhao

Hello! My name is Lantian, and I am a native Mandarin speaker from China currently living in Edinburgh, UK. I am currently studying for a part-time PhD in Accounting & Finance at London South Bank University after completing my Master's degree in Financial Management at Heriot-Watt University.

Although I am new to professional tutoring, I have several years of experience communicating with people from different backgrounds. Before moving to the UK, I worked at Heilongjiang Museum, where I regularly gave presentations, answered visitors' questions and explained complex topics in a clear and engaging way. This experience taught me how to be patient, encouraging and adapt my communication to different learners.

I teach students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to more advanced learners. Lessons can focus on speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading, writing, everyday conversation or HSK preparation, depending on your goals. Whether you are learning Chinese for travel, work, study or personal interest, I will tailor every lesson to your needs.

My lessons are relaxed, interactive and practical. I believe the best way to learn a language is by using it, so I encourage plenty of conversation while also building a strong foundation in vocabulary and grammar. I always aim to create a friendly learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.
