I have been teaching one-on-one IGCSE and A-Level Biology for a year, and used to receive tutoring for such when I was in high school. After getting an A* in Biology, I went on to study Biomedical Sciences at UCL where I currently am now. Additionally, during high school, I used to be part of a tutoring program where you taught younger kids and I also was the founder of a student-led STEM magazine where I further provided guidance to more than 10 students in scientific writing.
As a tutor, I am very proactive, patient, and detail-oriented. I prefer to let you try first to encourage fundamentally changing the way you think about a topic rather than just providing you with an answer. Because of this, I let you have the option (and prefer if you do) to do some questions before our session so that we can go over your mistakes during tutoring time. By making the most of our time, we can ensure effective learning is taking place. For difficult concepts, I like to explain through establishing core ideas, trying various approaches and analogies, and using visual diagrams especially to illustrate complex pathways.
You can expect the following from a session with me:
- Guided feedback on previous past papers/exercises.
- Identification and improvement of weak areas.
- Provision of curated topic-specific practice questions and past exam questions.
- Fast and reliable communication.
- In-depth explanations of difficult topics.
I am able to teach in both English and Thai.
