I am an experienced Business and Economics teacher with over 15 years of teaching across secondary schools, sixth forms, international education settings, and online learning environments in both the UK and overseas. Throughout my career, I have worked with students from a wide range of academic, social, and cultural backgrounds, which has helped me become a flexible, adaptable, and student-focused educator.
My experience includes teaching GCSE, A-Level, and BTEC Business and Economics, delivering lessons both in person and online. I enjoy teaching these subjects because they connect directly to real life and encourage students to think critically about the world around them. I aim to make learning relevant and engaging by using current affairs, real business examples, and practical applications that help students build understanding and confidence.
Teaching in both classroom and virtual settings has strengthened my ability to create engaging learning experiences and maintain strong communication with students. I have experience delivering live online lessons, supporting independent learning, providing personalised feedback, and using digital platforms and blended learning approaches to support progress and participation.
Alongside teaching, I have experience in curriculum planning, assessment preparation, pastoral support, and developing teaching resources. I believe education extends beyond academic achievement and should help students develop confidence, resilience, and transferable skills for the future.
I remain passionate about supporting young people and creating positive learning environments where students feel challenged, encouraged, and able to achieve their potential both academically and personally.
