I am an experienced and qualified Science teacher with over a decade of classroom and leadership experience, currently working as a Head of Science in a UK school. I specialise in GCSE Combined Science (AQA), GCSE Separate Sciences (AQA), and KS3 Science. My lessons are structured, calm and highly personalised, designed to build confidence, deepen understanding and improve exam performance.
Each student begins with a diagnostic assessment so I can identify strengths, gaps and misconceptions. From there, I create a tailored learning plan that includes clear explanations, scaffolded practice, active recall, and regular exam-style questions. Students learn not only the content, but also how to apply it effectively in assessments — including how to approach 6-mark questions, analyse data, and use scientific vocabulary accurately.
My lessons typically follow a consistent format:
Quick recall starter to activate prior knowledge
Clear modelling of new content with worked examples
Guided practice with immediate feedback
Independent exam-style questions
Mini-review and next steps
I work especially well with students who lack confidence, struggle with revision, or need structured support to stay motivated. I also support high-achieving students aiming for Grade 7–9 by stretching their analytical and problem-solving skills.
My goal is simple: to help every student make measurable progress and feel confident in Science.
