My lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive and tailored to each child's individual needs. I aim to create a positive learning environment where children can build their confidence in their mathematical skills. I completed Higher level Maths GCSE and Maths and Further Maths in A level. I am now onto learning Economics and Finance at university, where I learn maths-based modules.
For younger learners, I use fun approaches to introduce early maths concepts such as games, songs and colourful visual aids. This will help them develop a positive attitude toward maths and build their curiosity. Simple repetition and routine help reinforce understanding as young children learn through imitation and interaction.
For Primary school learners, I focus on building understanding. I break down concepts into simple, manageable steps and use real-life examples to help them comprehend. At this age, children start to learn in different ways; therefore, I will adapt my teaching style to suit different learning preferences, whether visual, auditory or practical. I can also give specified teaching for exams such as SATS and 11+, which I have experienced completing the exams myself and got exceptional scores. I know the specific skills required to complete these exams and can help students conquer them.
Throughout all lessons, I encourage questions and celebrate progress. I will give feedback consistently so the student knows which areas need improvement. I also include challenges to challenge students and develop their problem-solving skills.
My main goal is to make maths more enjoyable and accessible, helping students not only build strong skills but long-lasting confidence.
