About me

I have been teaching for the past 15 years, including 6 years of tutoring GCSE Maths (AQA and Edexcel) and GCSE Science (AQA and OCR). In addition, I have been a GCSE examiner for several years.

I have been teaching for the past 15 years, including 6 years of tutoring GCSE Maths (AQA and Edexcel) and GCSE Science (AQA and OCR). In addition, I have been a GCSE examiner for several years.

My lessons are structured yet adaptable, depending on the needs of the individual learner, and are usually delivered via Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Skype.

Past and current learners have preferred different approaches: some choose to work through past papers, while others focus on topics they need more practice with. I have also worked with students who have been absent from school for extended periods, requiring concepts to be taught from the beginning.

My lessons are generally enjoyable and light-hearted while ensuring that progress is consistently made and monitored. Homework or additional work can be assigned depending on the learner’s needs. Some students value extra practice between lessons, while others prefer to cover all material during their allocated session time.

I offer a flexible approach, allowing learners to message me the day before a lesson if they would like to change the focus of the upcoming session. This flexibility also extends to rescheduling lessons or arranging multiple sessions in a week to accommodate upcoming assessments or missed sessions.

I aim to build both confidence and subject knowledge, helping learners develop the skills needed to work independently and approach exams with greater confidence. Lessons are designed to be supportive and encouraging, creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
