I have experience teaching English to refugee children, supporting them with homework and helping them strengthen their core language skills. Many of the students I have worked with were learning English as an additional language, so I understand the importance of building strong foundations in reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. My approach is structured and carefully tailored to each individual student.

I begin by identifying the student’s current level through short diagnostic tasks and informal assessments. This helps me understand their reading ability, comprehension skills, spelling accuracy, grammar knowledge, and confidence in writing. Once I have a clear understanding of where they are academically, I create lessons that match their level and gradually build their skills step by step.

In reading, I focus on improving comprehension by working through texts together, discussing meaning, identifying key ideas, and exploring unfamiliar vocabulary. I encourage students to explain answers in full sentences to strengthen both understanding and expression. For writing, I guide students through planning, sentence structure, punctuation, and paragraph development. We often break tasks into smaller stages to ensure clarity and accuracy before moving on. Grammar and vocabulary are reinforced through targeted exercises and consistent practice.

When helping with homework, I aim not only to complete the task but to ensure the student understands the content and can apply it independently in the future. My teaching method is beginner-friendly and builds confidence through steady progression, clear explanations, and regular reinforcement of key skills. I am very friendly and the first lesson is free!
