My lessons are structured, interactive and designed to help students understand both the theory and the practical application of Accounting and Finance. I usually begin by introducing the key concepts for the lesson in a clear and simple way before moving on to worked examples, practice questions and real-world applications. I believe students learn best when they understand not only how to solve a problem, but also why a particular approach is used.

I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and I create a supportive environment where they can feel comfortable discussing areas they find challenging. I adapt my explanations and teaching methods to suit different learning styles and levels of experience. Lessons may include short discussions, problem-solving activities, exam-style questions and opportunities for students to explain their own reasoning.

My teaching strengths include breaking down complex accounting concepts into manageable steps, linking theory to professional practice and providing constructive feedback that helps students improve. I also support students with assessment preparation, academic writing, critical thinking and exam techniques.

I have experience teaching international students at foundation, undergraduate and pre-master’s levels in subjects including financial accounting, financial management, corporate governance and business ethics. My overall aim is to make lessons engaging, practical and relevant while helping students build confidence, independence and a strong understanding of the subject.
