My lessons will be friendly, patient and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and aren’t afraid to make mistakes.
I’ll start by understanding what your child already knows and which topics they find challenging, before working through questions together step by step. Lessons will include clear explanations, worked examples and plenty of practice to help build understanding and confidence.
I’m happy to adapt the pace and activities to suit each child, whether they need extra support with the basics or would like to strengthen their existing maths skills. My aim is to make maths feel less daunting, celebrate progress and help every child feel proud of what they can achieve.
I have a GCSE Maths grade of 8 and am looking forward to helping young learners develop their skills and confidence in maths.
I also believe that building a positive relationship with each student is an important part of learning. I want every child to feel encouraged, supported and comfortable working at their own pace. I’ll celebrate small achievements, revisit topics when needed and gradually introduce more challenging questions as their confidence grows. I aim to make each lesson interactive rather than simply giving answers, helping students understand the methods behind their work so they can apply them independently. By focusing on both understanding and confidence, I hope to help children develop skills that benefit them beyond our lessons.
