I’m a third-year Medical Physics student at UCL with several years of experience tutoring Maths and Physics to KS3, GCSE, and A-Level students. My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether that’s catching up on content, building confidence, or pushing for top grades.
I start by understanding how a student learns and where they’re struggling. From there, I plan lessons around clear explanations, worked examples, and plenty of guided practice. I focus strongly on problem-solving and exam technique, helping students understand why methods work rather than relying on memorisation. This approach builds confidence and makes exams feel much more manageable.
Lessons are interactive and paced to suit the student. I regularly check understanding, encourage questions, and adapt explanations when something doesn’t click straight away. For GCSE and A-Level students, I also help with revision planning, exam strategy, and tackling common mistakes that cost marks.
I provide clear feedback on work completed during and between lessons, and I’m happy to set optional practice or review past exam questions if helpful. I communicate openly with students (and parents, where appropriate) about progress and next steps, so everyone knows what we’re working towards.
I offer both online and in-person lessons and aim to create a calm, positive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and improving over time.
I’m patient, reliable, and organised, and I take pride in being well prepared for each lesson. My aim is not only to improve grades, but also to help students become more confident and independent learners who feel comfortable approaching challenging topics.
