Cara Fung

I am a GTCS registered teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience in Hong Kong and Scotland, specialising in Additional Support Needs (ASN), Special Educational Needs (SEN), and Chinese language education.

I have worked across mainstream and specialist schools, supporting children and young people with autism, ADHD, hearing impairment, dyslexia, speech and language needs, learning disabilities, and complex additional support needs. My experience includes teaching Chinese, supporting literacy and numeracy, preparing students for examinations, and providing personalised learning tailored to each learner’s strengths and needs.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, a Master’s degree, and have completed the University of Aberdeen Postgraduate Certificate in Inclusive Practice. I am also GTCS provisionally registered in Additional Support Needs (3–18). In addition, I have training in British Sign Language (BSL), autism, inclusive education, and supporting pupils with complex medical needs.

My teaching style is patient, structured and encouraging. I believe every learner can succeed when teaching is adapted to suit their individual learning profile.
