My Tutoring Approach: My lessons focus entirely on providing a supportive, patient, and pressure-free environment where students confidently understand topics and use their new knowledge to maximise their potential. Targeted Assessment: I always begin by identifying a child's areas of weakness and designing lessons specifically around those gaps. Comfortable Pacing: I work strictly at the student's most comfortable pace, breaking down complex mathematical problems into simple, manageable steps, so that they do not feel as though they are being rushed through the tutoring lesson. Active Learning: To review and solidify understanding, I integrate interactive quizzes and checkpoint questions throughout our sessions to review what information they have retained and remembered. Study Skills: Having recently completed my own GCSE exams, I teach highly effective revision methods, note-taking strategies, and memory techniques that work. Furthermore, I know the style of questions and format which are tested in exams and I follow them so that students can correctly answer questions. Above all, I firmly believe that a student's personal effort should be celebrated above all else, regardless of what exact scores they attain in their school exams. My ExperienceTeaching Assistant (Work Experience): During Year 10, I completed a formal placement as a teacher assistant for Key Stage 2 (KS2) pupils. I spent my time providing targeted, face-to-face support to young pupils who were struggling with their daily classroom lessons. Peer Mentoring: I have extensive experience breaking down complex topics for my classmates and peers, which is what originally sparked my passion for becoming a tutor.
