Studying psychology taught me that psychology is far broader and more influential than I initially believed, particularly when applied in real-world contexts. Through Psychology of Work and Psychology in Action, I learned that psychology is not only about understanding individuals, but also about shaping learning environments, organisational systems, and future opportunities. I became especially interested in how psychological principles can support students to thrive, not just academically, but personally and emotionally.

My final-year project focused on undergraduate student experiences of personal development and employability, examining how strengths-based tools such as Lumina Spark and assessment centre scenarios support confidence, self-awareness, and readiness for the future. Through this research, I identified that one-off assessments are often limited, as students’ strengths, motivations, and identities develop over time. This insight strengthened my belief in ongoing, coaching-style support that helps students reflect, adapt, and grow.

I am drawn to life coaching because it allows me to work holistically with students, helping them manage stress, build confidence, develop organisation and focus, and reconnect with their strengths and goals. I value empathetic listening, encouragement, and practical strategies, and I am motivated by opportunities to support students in becoming resilient, self-aware, and confident individuals.

My lessons are friendly, supportive, and tailored to each student. Sessions are online and focus on open conversation, goal setting, confidence-building, and practical strategies for managing stress, motivation, and organisation. I create a relaxed space where students feel comfortable talking, reflecting, and working at their own pace.
