Fun, informative and engaging with topics to inspire and engage students. Every lesson will be something different and often inspired by the students interests and pastimes. Alongside topical subject matter.
I like to be creative and dynamic with my style to keep you engaged and excited to learn ESL.
All lessons will have a standard lesson plan plan with interesting hooks, content checking, assignments and exit tickets! Homework is optional and can be assigned.
Lessons can be spoken, listening or reading.
I have recently returned from Cambodia where I refreshed my TEFL / ESL skills on a course for 3 weeks and was volunteer teaching for one month at a local NGO in the countryside where I gained over 50 hours of teaching practical experience which was one of the most rewarding experiences ever!
Alongside this I have been freelancing for several years giving gulf nationals English conversational lessons to grow their confidence and understanding of the English language. This is great fun and very engaging.
I am TEFL qualified and previously worked in retail management but now enjoying teaching a way to give me purpose and enhance my students knowledge of all aspects of the English language.
I am very well traveled and can easily adapt to the communication needs of those where English is not their first language. Also having worked for 8 years with a non native English speaking staff where I learnt to adapt to everyone’s needs in order to enhance communication styles, learning and understanding.
