I am a native Italian speaker, internationally qualified teacher and experienced tutor with over 25 years of teaching experience. I hold a PhD in Italian Studies from the University of Sydney and have taught Italian language, literature, culture and translation in schools, universities, adult education and professional settings in the UK and Australia.

I teach Italian to complete beginners, school students, GCSE and A level learners, university students, adult learners and professionals. Whether you are starting from scratch, preparing for an exam, improving conversation, strengthening grammar, studying Italian literature, or using Italian for work, I will design lessons around your needs and help you make steady, measurable progress.

My lessons are structured, supportive and rigorous. We can work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, writing and cultural context, depending on your aims. I use clear explanations, guided practice and regular feedback, so that you understand how Italian works and how to use it accurately and confidently.

I also place strong emphasis on confidence, independence and long-term progress. You will not simply memorise phrases: you will learn how to recognise patterns, correct recurring mistakes, expand your vocabulary and use Italian more naturally in real academic, professional and everyday situations.

For advanced learners, I can also support Dante, Italian literature, cultural history, translation, academic writing and university-level study. For professional learners, I can adapt lessons to workplace communication, presentations, relocation, travel or sector-specific vocabulary.

My aim is to make Italian clear, engaging and culturally rich, while giving you a practical route towards confidence, independence and real progress.
