Content & Dynamics
I teach AQA, Edexcel, and OCR GCSE Biology. Content is broken into bite-sized chunks: cell biology, organisation, infection, bioenergetics, homeostasis, inheritance, variation, and ecology. We don’t just memorise. We link topics to everyday life, use models, draw processes like mitosis, and run mini-quizzes. My lessons are interactive, not lectures. Expect me to ask “why” and “how” constantly so you build deep understanding. We focus hard on command words, 6-mark questions, and required practicals because that’s where grades are won.
My Experience
I’ve tutored GCSE Biology for 4 years, helping 30+ students move from grade 4-5 to 7-9. I have a BSc in Biomedical Science and current DBS check. I know mark schemes inside out and I track your progress with a shared tracker. Parents get monthly feedback.
Why it works
Clarity is my priority. I simplify without dumbing down. Complex ideas become simple stories and visuals. You’ll leave each lesson knowing exactly what you learned, what to review, and how it scores marks. Lessons are calm, focused, and adapted to you. If you’re visual, we draw. If you need structure, we use checklists. Nervous about exams? We build technique slowly until it’s automatic. My goal is confidence plus results, so Biology stops feeling scary and starts making sense.
