As a student myself, I have both experienced and explored the best ways in which I learn personally. As you progress through the Higher Biology course, we will follow along with the content you've learnt that week and revisit any areas in which you feel you are struggling. These lessons are very personalised. This means that we will be identifying your key strengths and weaknesses and building upon them.

In the first few lessons, I will be analysing your learning skills. This means I will be looking at whether you learn best by activities, by memorisation and repetition, or by watching movies and videos. Using this analysis, I can then deliver the content of your Higher Biology course in a more personalised manner to best suit your learning needs. Each week I will assign homework to ensure that you are retaining the information. This also allows me to see where theres room for improvement. The homwork will be a blend of basic multiple choice questions to simulate the first part of your exam paper and open ended questions to simulate the higher mark questions.

I will also be on hand for any burning biology questions you may have. This means if you come away from a class not totally understanding a topic, we can work together to ensure you have a deeper knowledge of the subject for better results.

My main skills are mainly based in Microbiology and Biochemestry, which are 2 very large units in Higher biology. I also have skills which lie in other parts of biology such as celluar communication and biology within the real world. I have sat many biology exams and worked a lot in labratories with the cells you learn about in class, so I want to be able to share my passion with biology with you!
