My lessons involve using a variety of different techniques which involve integration of both understanding the content and developing revision techniques.
It is helpful to have a whiteboard with you for my lessons, but it's okay if you don't.
I go through Year 12 biology content, such as biological molecules and gene expression. The content I teach covers the AQA A-level specification.

What are lessons like? Lessons start with a recap of what you currently know about the topic and we identify the weak areas/ gaps in your knowledge to mainly focus on. Then, I do a verbal explanation of content as well as using diagrams and referencing booklets/ textbooks to cover the entire material you need to know. I'll then ask you a variety of different questions to: test your new understanding; help you practice revision methods such as blurting and active recall; keep you engaged throughout the lesson and help identify common misconceptions.

I also use my own flashcards and go through exam practice questions with the mark scheme to help you understand exam structure and how to answer questions effectively.

My lessons will be in a comfortable environment, I'm very friendly and will include time throughout the lessons to answer questions and also give general advice on sixth form studies, university application and other things such as making the most out of your sixth form experience.

Lessons are adapted depending on each person's needs, and the revision methods are intertwined to develop key skills for A-level success.
