I have an Undergraduate Degree in Sociology and Social Psychology and have been working as an Assistant Psychologist for three years. I have about 10 years experience of teaching in mental health settings and am a compassionate and supportive tutor.
I completed A level and degree level Sociology and Psychology qualifications. I also have experience with A Level Biology.
Having received tutoring as a teenager, I understand how important developing a good relationship with your tutor is and feeling at ease and able to ask any questions. My tuition sessions are collaborative and we can work to find the best way for you to learn.
I am based in York and happy to arrange a place to meet to have sessions or to come to your house, wherever you feel comfortable. I can also offer tutoring via Zoom or Google Meet online.
Seeing a tutor can often feel daunting, but I am passionate about making it a fun and supportive space where you can feel able to learn in a style that suits you, something that often isn’t possible in a school/college or university setting.
I love Sociology and Psychology and have experience of how they are applied outside of school and university, which I think can bring a really interesting level to tutoring to help it make sense in context of the real world.
I have an enhanced DBS and am a trained safeguarding officer within my Assistant Psychology Role.
