I have previous experience working in a primary school as a teaching assistant which involved a lot of one to one academic support for students. This was a great experience that taught me how to cater teaching and learning support to individual students and how to think outside of the box at times to adapt to what would benefit them the most.

I also volunteer with the Ministry of Stories which is a creative writing charity for children. This has strengthened my abilities when it comes to English support specifically and for a wider age range.

I received an A for my English Literature A Level and an 8 for my GCSE and then went on to study Film and Television at the University of Bristol. This degree had a large theoretical focus and so it was imperative to constantly apply my essay writing and English abilities to the work I would produce. It has given me a great understanding of sourcing and academic point making, therefore I could support a student at GCSE or A Level very well as these are skills that are key to their learning.

I am invested in students and the way that they learn. I am a great believer in the fact that anybody can learn anything if they do so in their own way and I am committed to providing a space for my students where they can do this effectively and succeed. I am personable and can establish an amicable rapport with students whilst focussing on what they need.
