I’ve taught kids for several years. Coaching and teaching is something I’m passionate about whether it’s gymnastics, at church, or babysitting.

The lessons I teach start out with a basic lesson and eventually build into harder grammar, punctuation, synonyms, and more of the vocabulary of the English language. We talk about how we would use them in a sentence and even write short stories depending on the child’s age and capabilities of doing so.

If something is more difficult for a student I make sure to break it down for them but also want them to teach me what they’ve learned so that I know I’m teaching them well and they’re retaining the information for themselves. I want them to be able to come home and teach to their parents and siblings if they have any too.

Any hardships for teaching are not a problem either. Every child learns different. I know I did. I’ve had to work one on one with my teachers to understand something more because of distractions at school or just because I had trouble focusing. It’s important for your child to know it’s okay to get extra help because that’s what tutors are here for. We also learn from the kids while we are teaching too.

Teaching definitely goes both ways and that’s something that’s important to remember. I can’t tell you how many times a child has taught me something. It is a huge deal when you see those kids excel too. It’s inspiring
