Lesson format:
- The lessons will begin with a follow-up and recap of the previous session, going over anything that still needs to be understood.
- Then the new content will be introduced, either through examples, detailed explanation or a question straight away so the student can gain a deeper understanding of the concept through their own (guided) working - this depends on the student's learning style and needs.
- Then we will go step-by-step through the material, making sure it is fully understood before practicing it with questions prepared beforehand. I will ask the student has something to write with, and a notepad of some kind. At this stage they should work mostly independently but still ask questions when they get stuck. I will pick questions with suitable difficulty for the student, however they can choose out of multiple questions of varying difficulty if they wish.
- We will go through their answers and correct any mistakes or misunderstandings together.
- Sessions will end with summary questions to test their new understanding of the content.
