I provide flexible but focused lessons on English conversation, reading comprehension, and/or academic writing. I incorporate a wide range of materials into my lessons such as news articles, essays and analyses about current events, popular media, and academic sources. Lessons are conducted in a pleasant, friendly manner with a focus on developing a student's strengths and fostering their confidence in using English at school, work, or other parts of daily life. My online lesson format enables the sharing and editing of various documents so students can receive feedback on the exercises I provide, and I typically prepare each lesson by providing in-depth notes and contextual information to make the materials as accessible as possible for the student. I have experience growing up and studying in Taiwan, so am especially familiar with the challenges faced by Taiwanese students when it comes to gaining English fluency.
