I have several years of experience working at Kumon, where I continue to support students aged 3–16 in developing strong academic foundations. I specialise in teaching English, offering lessons for Year 2–8 students to build core reading, writing, and comprehension skills, as well as GCSE English Language for students from Year 9 onwards.

My lessons are carefully structured and tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. For younger students, I focus on developing confidence, fluency, and a solid understanding of grammar and comprehension through engaging and interactive activities. For GCSE students, lessons are more focused on exam preparation, including analysing texts, improving writing techniques, practising past papers, and mastering exam strategies.

I deliver all lessons online in a supportive and patient environment, ensuring students feel comfortable to ask questions and make progress at their own pace. I use clear explanations, regular practice, and constructive feedback to help students improve consistently. My goal is to build confidence, independence, and strong English skills that will support students both in exams and beyond.

I also place a strong emphasis on tracking progress and adapting lessons to ensure continuous improvement. I regularly assess each student’s strengths and areas for development, adjusting my teaching approach to maximise results. Communication with parents is important to me, and I provide updates on progress when needed. My aim is not only to help students achieve academically, but also to develop a genuine confidence and enjoyment in English that will benefit them long-term and future academic success.
