What My Lessons Are Like

My lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each student and are designed to build both subject knowledge and confidence. As an experienced A-Level Biology teacher with over eight years of classroom experience and a PhD specialising in Genetics, I understand the challenges students face and how to help them succeed.

Lessons are delivered online and typically include a combination of clear explanations, interactive discussion, exam-style questions and targeted feedback. I break down complex biological concepts into manageable sections, ensuring students develop a deep understanding rather than simply memorising content.

Depending on a student's needs, lessons may focus on:

• Understanding challenging topics such as Genetics, Gene Expression, DNA Technology and Physiology

• Improving examination technique and answering extended-response questions effectively

• Developing data analysis and scientific interpretation skills

• Reviewing past paper questions and examiner expectations

• Identifying knowledge gaps and strengthening weaker areas

• Revision planning and preparation for assessments and final examinations

I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence. My aim is not only to help students achieve excellent grades but also to develop a genuine understanding and appreciation of Biology.
