My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals, experience level, and interests. At the start of each session, we’ll identify what you want to improve - whether that’s expressive drawing, observational sketching, perspective, visual storytelling, or building a strong portfolio. From there, I structure lessons around practical exercises that help you develop skills you can use immediately.

Sessions can include guided drawing tasks, live demonstrations, sketchbook development, and focused feedback on your work. I place a strong emphasis on helping students communicate ideas clearly through drawing, not just copying what they see. This is especially useful for students preparing portfolios or applying to architecture and art-related courses, where clarity of ideas and visual thinking are key.

I studied Art at GCSE and A Level, achieving an A in both, and I’m currently studying Architecture at UCL’s Bartlett, where drawing is part of everyday practice. This means I can offer practical insight into how drawing is used in a creative and academic context, particularly for architecture applications and portfolio preparation.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and structured, with clear guidance on how to improve between sessions. Whether you’re a complete beginner, looking to build confidence in drawing, or preparing a portfolio for applications, I aim to help you develop your own visual voice while building strong technical and communication skills.

Lessons can be held online or in person, with flexible scheduling to fit around school, college, or work commitments, and optional homework tasks to support steady progress between sessions.
