My lessons are calm, structured, and fully tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. I begin by identifying any gaps in understanding, then carefully build up knowledge step by step so that every student feels confident with the foundations before moving on to more challenging content. A key part of my teaching is applying learning through regular practice, especially using past paper questions, which helps students become familiar with exam-style wording, improve their timing, and develop strong exam technique.

As a fellow student and private foundation maths tutor, I understand how difficult maths can feel when things don’t click straight away. Because of this, I focus on explaining topics in a clear, simple, and patient way, avoiding unnecessary complexity and instead breaking ideas down into manageable steps. I adapt my teaching style depending on how each student learns best, whether that means going over examples slowly, repeating key methods, or challenging them with exam questions when they are ready.

I am frequently used in school settings to support students who need additional help, including those who are working towards moving from failing grades to passing. This experience has shown me how important confidence is in maths, and I always aim to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without pressure.

On a personal level, I genuinely enjoy helping others understand maths and seeing that moment when something finally “clicks.” I know how frustrating it can be when you feel stuck, so I always try to stay patient, positive, and reassuring throughout every session.

My main goal is to help students not only improve their grades, but also build long-term confidence and independence in maths so they feel prepared for exams and future learning.
