My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs, whether they are studying KS1, KS2, or KS3 maths or GCSE Sociology. I begin by identifying the student’s current level and any areas they find challenging, then create a personalised plan to build both confidence and understanding over time.
A typical lesson starts with a short recap of previous content to reinforce learning, followed by a clear explanation of a new topic using simple, step-by-step methods. I use worked examples and visual aids where helpful, especially for maths, to make abstract ideas easier to understand. Students are then given the opportunity to practise independently, with my guidance and feedback throughout to ensure they fully grasp each concept before moving on.
For Sociology, I focus on breaking down key theories and concepts into accessible language, helping students develop strong exam techniques such as structuring answers and applying knowledge effectively. I also incorporate discussion-based learning to encourage critical thinking and deeper understanding.
My approach is patient, supportive, and interactive—I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate, rather than just listen. Having achieved strong results in both GCSE and A-Level Maths, as well as WJEC Eduqas GCSE Sociology, I understand the exam requirements and common difficulties students face. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and capable of achieving their best.
