My goal is to help my students understand what concepts don't make sense to them. In other words, I want them to reflect on what they don't understand, and to look for any misconceptions they might have regarding the topic.
I welcome questions and discussions, and will be leading these sessions via Zoom or Teams. In these platforms I hope to have interactive classes and have my students solve many exercises in order to fixate their knowledge.
I love explaining tricky concepts and aim to help my students connect these with other topics in Biology. I won't ask for homework or any obligatory coursework, but will recommend readings should the student be interested. I will also use Kahoot regularly and other fun games to test knowledge.
I will cover most of Secondary and A-level Biology, such as Genetics, Proteins, Cell Division, Gene expression and Hereditary Patterns, Cell respiration, Transcription and Translation mechanisms, DNA structure,Biolipids and Second Messengers.
I also have a strong background in Neuroscience, having completed the Microbachelors program at Harvard online, I can also teach Neuron anatomy and function, Synapses and types of Neurotransmitters function.
I am a 22 year old student from Brazil currently in my first year of Neuroscience (BSc) at University College London . I have also completed with honours (highest grade) the King's College London Biochemistry Foundation course.
If you are interested, send me a message! Thanks :)
