Ideally, I would prefer supporting secondary and GCSE students, though I'm just as happy working across A-levels too.
I'm in my final year of a Biomedical Science degree, currently projected to graduate with a first class, and tutoring is something that's genuinely stayed with me since even before school. Growing up, I would always tutor my younger sister as she sometimes has challenges understanding more complex topics. More professionally, however, in high school I spent around two years helping fellow students with Maths, Biology and Economics up until the day I graduated, and more recently spent 10 months as a STEM Ambassador creating and delivering lesson content at a sixth form school. What I enjoyed most both times was the moment a concept finally clicked for someone, and I'd love the chance to keep creating that moment for students here.
I'm patient, adaptable, and used to meeting a student exactly where they're at rather than teaching to one fixed method.
Lessons can be either online or in-person based on your preferences. The lessons will be immersive into each topic and will used mixed formats and will integrate diagrams, mind maps, past papers, relevant stories, relevant revision resources, mnemonics, and videos into the lesson to really ensure that you have a complete understanding of the topic and will be able to apply the concepts in an exam-style situation.
Once again, I am very adaptable to the student's learning style and lessons would be more or less dynamic, based on how easily the student retains information and what learning style works best for them.
