Joy Xin

Hello! I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker with a PhD in Urban Studies and Literature. I am passionate about language learning and enjoy helping students develop their Chinese skills with confidence.

My lessons are structured, practical and tailored to each student's level, goals and interests. I aim to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable practising Chinese and making progress at their own pace.

I can help beginners build a strong foundation in pronunciation, pinyin, vocabulary and everyday conversations. For learners who already have some Chinese knowledge, we can focus on improving speaking fluency, listening comprehension and communication in real-life situations.

I also enjoy teaching practical Chinese for daily life, travel and business. I use clear explanations, useful examples and interactive activities to make learning engaging and relevant.
